Five members of the League are killed by energy duplicates of their girlfriends who gate crash a League meeting. As soon as the Leaguers are dead and the duplicates vanished, the remaining Leaguers receive a warning that cosmic creatures are about to attack Earth, creatures created by the person responsible for the deaths of their team mates.The League battle and defeat the creatures then return to the Sanctuary where they find T O Morrow who activates souvenirs from their previous cases to attack and ultimately kill the remaining members of the League.With the League dead, Morrow consults his futuristic computer which warns him the only person who can stop him is the Red Tornado whom he left for dead on Earth-Two. The Tornado survived, however, and manages to get to Earth-One where he finds the dead Leaguers. He contacts the genuine girlfriends of the Leaguers who were killed by their duplicates and, with a kiss, they restore them to life.Travelling between the Earths, the Tornado and the League find Morrow and force him to restore life to the remaining League members and, on Earth-Two, the Justice Society. The story ends with the Tornado wanting a personality and emotions, to live as a human.
