A new hero, Mind-Grabber Kid, successfully foils a robbery but his moment of glory is eclipsed when the nearby crowd ignore him and instead watch a show featuring the Justice League. The League, meanwhile, have decided to settle once and for all if the Creeper is a hero or villain and set out to find him.Aliens, exploring the solar system, contact an Earthling and just happen to find Mind-Grabber Kid who, jealous of the League, tells them that the Earth is being menaced by the League and asks the aliens to stop them. The Creeper captures a crook just as the League, and the aliens, catch up to him attacking a gang of thieves. The aliens mistake the League's apprehension of the crooks as proof of their tyranny and attack, forcing the League to battle them.Mind-Grabber Kid arrives on the scene, initially planning to enjoy the League's defeat but, when the crooks also attack them, he helps them and, after defeating them, admits to the aliens that he lied. Superman allows both him and the Creeper to go their own ways.
