On the evil world of Apokolips, the despotic New God, Darkseid has been reborn. With almost all of the New Gods captive, a device has been created that will transport Apokolips to the exact position occupied by Earth-2, destroying it. From there, Darkseid's plans would expand outward to fill an entire universe.
