A plague that sent people mad swept the country, spread by a contamination in the paper used in printing money. STAR Labs devised a credit card that would be sonically tuned to an individual, thus allowing paper money to be replaced by plastic and the plague controlled.A week later, however, and a new plague breaks out, causing a slowing of men's brains. At the same time madness breaks out in animals and as the League combat a giant swarm of bees, they find the Queen Bee at the heart of it. She, however, is not to blame and tells them that the credit cards used instead of money are the problem. The sonic tuning used in the cards acts to transfer intelligence from humans to animals.
