Despite the protests of his fellow members, Red Tornado decides to quit the League, returning to Earth as John Smith and visiting his adopted daughter Traya. In Arkham Asylum, unknown to the guards, Dr Destiny has escaped and has built a device to make dreams reality. Red Tornado and Traya visit Kathy Sutton and reveals his secret identity to her. They attend a Halloween parade and, along with the crowd, are subject to Dr Destin'y dream machine. Overcoming his own nightmares, Red Tornado not only destroys the machine but realises that he is more human than he realised.
